Adventure Lodge and Motel offers centrally heated rooms with fresh linen, towels and feather duvets; self-contained units include satellite TV and private bathrooms, while lodge rooms share separate men's and women's bathrooms. Facilities include a large drying room, coin-operated laundry, a shared kitchen with covered BBQ area, a guest lounge with satellite TV and open fireplace, family rooms and a studio with disability access.

Breakfast and lunch can be purchased at check-in, and packed lunches for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing can be ordered; dietary requests are accommodated. The property has two restaurants and a minimarket on site; nearby dining includes The Station Cafe and CamoKai. Adventure Lodge & Motel is a 20-minute drive from the start of the Tongariro Crossing and a 15-minute drive to Mt Ruapehu, home to the Whakapapa and Turoa ski fields. The hotel operates Dutchy's shuttles for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing; return transport is available for an additional charge. Local walks include the Old Coach Road and Taranaki Falls within Tongariro National Park.
